Everything we write and make here is yours to use

Repost it, print it, quote it, put it on your own page or in your own mailer. Candidates and committees too. All we ask is one line of credit.

You may:

  • Repost or share any page, card, map, table or post, whole or in part
  • Print it, hand it out, put it on a sign or in a mailer
  • Quote our words and use our numbers, with the date we gave them
  • Translate it, crop it, or build on it, as long as you say what you changed

The license asks three things:

  • Credit "Rancho Neighbors United, ranchoneighborsunited.com"
  • Say what you changed, if you changed anything
  • Don't suggest we endorse you or your use of it

And two requests, as a courtesy:

  • Keep the "Ad paid for by" box on our cards and flyers when you share them whole
  • Don't alter anyone's photograph

That's it. No permission to ask for, no fee, no deadline. The formal license is at the bottom of this page.

Not ours to give

  • The candidates' photographs. Oliver King's and David VanGorden's portraits are licensed to us for our own pieces. They travel with a card shared whole; please don't lift them out of it. Want them for something else? Ask the candidate.
  • The City's documents and drawings. Staff reports, minutes, site plans and votes are public records. Use them freely, and credit the City of Rancho Cucamonga, not us.
  • Map and satellite imagery on our precinct maps belongs to its providers; our boundaries, numbers and labels are ours.
  • Words we quote from others (a staff report, a speaker, a news story) belong to whoever said them. Quote them the way we did, with the source.

Our logo

Use it as it is: the evergreen version on light backgrounds, the white version on dark ones. Don't recolor, stretch, crop or redraw it, don't add words to it, and don't fold it into a logo of your own. Use it to say where something came from, not to suggest we endorse you or paid for your piece. The colors are evergreen #123F32, gold #E8AE44 and white.

Candidates and committees

You may use anything on this page the way anyone else may. This is a public offer, the same for every campaign and every committee, including the ones we oppose. We don't take requests, preview content for anyone, or share what we plan to publish. Whatever you post, print or mail is your communication: your own "paid for by" line, at your own cost. We report our own spending; nothing here is a gift to any campaign.

One thing not to do: don't republish our ads as your own. Our cards and flyers say they were not authorized by a candidate, and in your post that would be false. Quote our words and facts, use our files and our logo in a piece of your own, and put your committee's own disclosure on it.

The terms

Except where noted above, the content of ranchoneighborsunited.com and the files in the kit below are licensed by Rancho Neighbors United under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, share, print, quote, translate and adapt it, including for political use, if you credit "Rancho Neighbors United, ranchoneighborsunited.com" and say what you changed. Our logo may be reproduced unchanged to show where content came from.

How to credit us

  • A quote or a number: "Source: Rancho Neighbors United, ranchoneighborsunited.com, council minutes of Jan. 21 and Feb. 4, 2026."
  • A card or map reposted whole: nothing to add; the credit and the disclosure box are on it.
  • Something you changed: "Adapted from Rancho Neighbors United, ranchoneighborsunited.com (CC BY 4.0)."
